GLUTEN FREE IN FRANCE - JOIN US FOR “A TASTE OF FRANCE – GLUTEN FREE”
'La Belle Demeure' is situated in the peaceful heart of the charming riverside town of Jarnac and provides our guests with comfortable and stylish accommodation. Our elegant bedrooms all have private bath or shower facilities en-suite. We provide excellent freshly-cooked meals using fresh locally sourced ingredients wherever possible: Jarnac’s excellent food market is a wonderful resource for us.
Coeliacs can relax in the knowledge that all our food is completely delicious and completely wheat and gluten free. We provide wonderful holidays for those who have special diet requirements as well as for their partners, families and friends. Many of our guests return to stay with us again and again. Our food is highly recommended and we often have non-coeliac guests who choose to stay with us rather than at conventional establishments.
This warm and sunny area of South West France provides plenty of opportunities for outside dining and relaxation. La Belle Demeure’s location enables our guests to enjoy walking, biking and sightseeing in this beautiful region. In Jarnac you will find excellent tennis courts, river trips and an open air pool, as well as Cognac tours and tastings. Public transport provides easy access to other towns, villages and the coast and our picnic lunches make it easy for guests to spend the day exploring further afield. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day.
Annual events like Cognac’s “Blues Passion” music festival with its opening night here in Jarnac, the classic car race “Circuit des Remparts” and “Music Metisses” world music days in Angouleme, draw huge crowds and Jarnac’s brilliant Bastille Day firework celebrations are simply second to none.
